How Social Casinos Work: SC & GC System Explained

How Social Casinos Work

Our LuckXpress Casino operates under a social casino gaming model based on recreational gaming. What separates our site from social casinos is that U.S. players from supported territories can win real prizes.

No purchase is required - we offer our members free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, the two virtual currencies used at LuckXpress, through various promotions and bonuses, such as the signup package, daily login rewards, mail-in bonuses, and many other promos.

The social casino model is focused on allowing you to play your favorite casino-style slot machines, card games, or live titles without spending. In short, you can play for fun, or redeem eligible Sweeps Coins for prizes or gift cards. In case you’re unfamiliar with the concept, we’ll explain how SCs and GCs work, the ways you can use them, and how players can redeem won Sweeps Coins for prizes.

Sweeps Coins System Explained

Here’s a breakdown of SC coins explained: Sweeps Coins represent a promotional currency used at LuckXpress. They can’t be purchased, sold, or used on other platforms, but players can acquire them for free through Gold Coin package purchases, daily bonuses, the Alternative Method of Entry, tournaments, and various recurring promotions.

Our Sweeps Coins contrast with the other virtual currency you’ll be able to use after signing up at LuckXpress - Gold Coins. These social gaming entries hold no real-world value, can’t be exchanged for prizes, or converted into Sweeps Coins. However, you can play any game from our catalog for recreational purposes with them, demo titles you’re unfamiliar with, or practice before using your Sweeps Coins.

Sweeps Coins 101

At LuckXpress Casino, Sweeps Coins are used in the Promotional Play mode and have the following characteristics:

• SCs won through gameplay are redeemable for prizes

Sweeps Coins come with a one-time playthrough requirement, which means that you can’t redeem your SCs as soon as you’ve obtained them. Playing your favorite games with this virtual currency will make the amount of SCs you used redeemable, while your remaining balance of Sweeps Coins will be displayed as unplayed.

For example, if you have a total of 100 Sweeps Coins and you play through 30 SC, you will have 30 redeemable SCs. If you decide to redeem a gift card for 25 SC, your 5 played SC will carry over for your next redemption.

• Free play

You’ll never have to make any purchases to get Sweeps Coins, as we offer plenty of ways by which you can obtain them. For starters, all newcomers can grab free SCs from our welcome bonus, while returning players can use daily logins, referral bonuses, AMOE, and other promotions to keep playing in the Promotional Mode without any purchases.

• Minimum redemption thresholds:

Players must hold a minimum of 25 played Sweeps Coins to request a gift card, or at least 100 played SCs for a prize. These minimums may change over time, so it’s best to read our Sweeps Rules and T&Cs, or simply ask our support agents if you’re unsure about the current redemption requirements.

No risk is involved because you’re never required to purchase or spend anything of real value, and free play is guaranteed through our staple bonuses. Still, it’s best to practice with GCs before entering the Promotional Mode because free Gold Coins are even easier to come by at LuckXpress.

How Do You Win at Social Casinos

You win by simply playing games with SCs and meeting the minimum required for a redemption, provided that your account is fully KYC verified. The lowest bar is 25 SCs, a minimum for gift card redemptions, while the second bar is 100 SCs required for a cash prize.

Switch to the Promotional Play mode by tapping your balance until your SCs are shown; if your wallet displays Gold Coins, you’re playing in the Recreational Mode and won’t make any playthrough progress.

Sweeps Coins Rewards

We at LuckXpress offer eligible players who’ve accumulated enough played Sweeps Coins a choice between two kinds of prizes - gift cards and prizes.

Gift cards or vouchers have a much lower redemption threshold than prizes at 25 SC, but you’ll still have to complete the playthrough condition. Since we only need to verify your eligibility and double-check if your minimum SC balance checks out, we’ll usually handle your gift card request quickly, often on the same day your request was submitted.

Prize redemptions, on the other hand, are processed through traditional purchase methods, such as ACH transfers or online banking. In the case of ACH specifically, we have no control over redemption timeframes since the clearing house uses batch processing - this means your prize may take a few days, but we do strive to keep internal verification times as low as possible.

Step-by-Step Guide

The simple gameplay-reward loop is one of the main reasons behind the popularity of social casinos in the U.S., and to keep things fun for both new and experienced players, our Sweeps Rules are deliberately straightforward.

All you have to do is sign up, get verified, and play games; grab free bonuses along the way, and once you’ve hit the minimum SC bar needed, you’ll be able to exchange your Sweeps coins for a prize you choose. Below, we’ll explain exactly how this works.

Signup Process

Playing Games

You’ll receive the signup bonus immediately after verifying your account, which means you’ll be ready to start playing any game from our catalog. We recommend using Gold Coins for practice and entertainment, but would also like to remind you that prizes are only available by playing in the Promotional Mode.

Tap the Sweeps Coins (SC) on your balance at the top of the screen to change gaming modes. With SC enabled and highlighted, all plays you make will draw from your Sweeps Coin balance and make the amount of coins you used redeemable.

If the Recreational Mode (GC) is on, your plays will consume coins from your Gold Coin balance. A reminder that this currency is not redeemable - it’s best used for demoing or practicing games.

If you’re low on Sweeps Coins, we offer a wide range of promotions and bonuses that include free currency, with some of the most prominent including:

• Daily Login Bonus: Simply log in to your account and grab your daily rewards. The Login screen features an integrated timer for the next reward and will display “Already Claimed Today” if you’ve already used the promotion.

• Referral Program: Invite friends, and we’ll give you free SCs for every new player who registers with your unique referral link and makes a qualified GC purchase.

• Alternative Method of Entry: We’ll give you free Sweeps Coins for every qualified mail-in request. Consult the AMOE section of the Sweeps Rules to learn more specifics.

Purchase-related bonuses are also available, but are entirely optional. Our welcome package includes a choice between 4 first-purchase boosts, standard Gold Coin bundles include free SCs, and several weekly events, such as Happy Hours or Night Owl, are available.

Redemptions

You only need a verified profile and enough played SCs to begin the redemption process. Tap Redeem from the Wallet section, choose between Gift Card and Prize options, and designate how many redeemable Sweeps Coins you wish to use.
